The Cat in the Hat?  A herd of dinosaurs?  Magic castles and giant caterpillars?  You just never know what you'll find in our Children's Section!  We have over 11,000 items:  these include fiction and non-fiction books for a variety of ages, magazines, puzzles, games, a piano, books on tape, videos and DVDs, puppets, and reference materials.  And don't forget to visit with our two hermit crabs-Zues and Apollo.
We have one computer just for games.  It is not connected to the internet.  Games and programs are  on CDs.
The beautiful mural in our amphitheater is painted by local artist, Nan Steinmeyer.  It tells the tale of her puppy's adventures after he falls into a magic rabbit hole.  There are comfy chairs, and squashy pillows to make this a great area to enjoy a story or read a book
