Bee City sculpture in the garden
The flowers in this garden not only provide food and habitat for pollinators, they adorn the base of the Bee City USA Carlinville 15 foot, 3-piece Bee and Flower sculpture. The garden was designed, planted and is maintained by volunteers. The City of Carlinville was awarded Bee City Status in 2019 for their effort in reducing chemical use, educational awareness and outreach, and the increase in pollinator habitat. To date, over 1400 new native plants have been planted in the city on public properties and at the Carlinville Plaza.
